I check the bees occasionally, but usually at this time of night, they are all tucked into their nest tubes, so it was surprising to me to see this pollen covered bee sticking out. Does anyone know what’s going on?

Hmm enjoyed watching the video, but don’t know what he/she was up to! A lot of grooming seemed to be going on, perhaps it’s easier to do this outside the tube?
Love your vids. No idea what she’s doing, but it’s def not egg-laying. When a mason bee lays an egg, you will hear a long and loud, high-pitched buzz from inside the tube. You’ll know what I mean when you hear it.
