This is our remedy for slug control.
Plastic glove and cup, headlight, q-tips to ‘roll up’ those small ones. Go out at night, and be thankful your back and vision still works.
This is the big one that DIDN’T get away.

Heroic!
is picture for real???
Uh well, they certainly grow big here on the Oregon Coast. It’s a real slug but it might have been enlarged a bit for effect.
Ha, you did some good photoshopping, it fooled me! I was pretty scared thinking slugs like that actually exist
Pat…glad that Jerry forwarded me the ‘slug rehab’ posting.
Then I went looking for something like what I found in my friends yard yesterday, I was going to describe it as a ‘leopard slug’…the largest slug I had EVER seen! Well, by god, it was just like the one you are holding in this picture. (of COURSE not that big…geeez! But I believe that that could get that big if left to their own devices!!)
Take care, Pat!

Hi Bob,
I’ve been calling this a banana slug…that’s what my wife said it was, and she was right about those pointing things on the front being the ‘eyestems.’ Banana or leopard they are still slimy and prolific. After looking this up I added a link to the blog about how charismatic banana slugs can be…:_)
